Bethany, MO: The Bethany Public Library has expanded its space by opening up the basement level for displays. This came about after lift was installed to provide access to the lower level of the former BTC Bank building. Sharon Beeks, a library assistant, stands at the entrance to the lift. The new area includes a meeting room decorated by paintings of local landmarks produced by the late Billie Meadows. The lower level also contains a room displaying the Native American collection of Carol D. Bennett.–Republican-Clipper photos
