Gilman City, MO: Preparations are underway for the annual Gilman City Fair on June 16-18 at the schoolgrounds.
The Gilman City FFA chapter has sold advertising for a special tabloid publication that will be circulated in the days leading up to the fair.
The main events are:
Thursday, June 16—Sheep and goat show starting at 6 p.m with the goat show followed by the sheep show.
Friday, June 17—Swine show starting at 6 p.m.
Saturday, June 18—Rabbit show at 9:30 a.m.; FFA Barbeque, 5 p.m.; beef show, bucket calf show at 6 p.m.; breeding beef show at 6 p.m.; kids’ games sponsored by the Gilman City Rebekah Lodge starting at 4 p.m.
The barbecue will be prepared by the FFA chapter. Proceeds will be used to help offset the costs of the National Convention.
Members of the Gilman City Fair Board are Dan Chalfant, Kerri Ward, Kim Terhune, Shannon Snuffer, Callie Gardner and Jason Webb.
