Bethany, MO: South Harrison’s pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts to lead their team to an 8-7 win over King City at Babe Adams Field.
Blake Thomas and Payton Gentry both had 7 strikeouts as the Bulldogs overcame an early 2-1 King City to tie the game in the third inning. King City came back to score 5 runs in the fifth inning, but the WildKats were shut out the rest of the game. The Bulldogs scored 2 runs in the sixth inning and 3 in the seventh to take the win.
Daniel Karns drove in 2 runs for the Bulldogs. Freshman Braydon Sunderman tallied 2 runs during the game.
South Harrison will play North Harrison at 5 p.m. on April 12 at Babe Adams Field. The Bulldogs will then play at East Harrison on April 17.
