South Harrison’s girls came from behind to defeat Southwest Livingston 57-51 at the Holiday Hoops tournament last Wednesday in Trenton.
South Harrison was down 9 points in the fourth quarter before using some defensive pressure to turn the game around.
The Bulldogs outscored the Ludlow team 25-10 in the fourth quarter.
South Harrison junior Neiley Karns led South Harrison with 14 points. The Lady Bulldogs also got 13 points from Ciara Jennings and 12 from Hunter Purdun.
Freshman Katey Wilhelm provided some good defense as the Bulldogs took control of the game, according to Coach Bill Pottorff.
Hardin-Central defeated the South Harrison boys 50-36 on Wednesday. The leading scorer for the Bulldogs was Treyton Campbell with 8 points.
South Harrison came off the Christmas break to host Penney in a non-conference game on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs will open their conference season at 6 p.m. on Friday night, Jan. 8, at home against King City.
The South Harrison Invitational Tournament will start next Monday night, Jan. 11, and will run through Jan. 16.
