Members of American Legion Post 216 bring out the colors for each Hotrod baseball game at Babe Adams Field. The legion post established the tradition during the first season of American Legion baseball. Members of the visiting Rod’s A’s baseball team from Gladstone, top, paused while Glenn Harrold and Tom McFall brought the flag up to home base. Dick Graner of the post sang the National Anthem. The local post has drawn praise from visiting teams as one of the only posts to regularly use its color guard to open the games.Republican-Clipper photo

The American Legion Post 216 Hotrods hosted the Fike team from Blue Ridge during four games on Sunday at Babe Adams Field.
The Hotrods split the 17 and under games with Blue Springs.
