William “Bill” Pierce, Bethany, peacefully departed this world to meet his maker, Monday, December 21, 2020 at the age of 70 years 11 months and 11 days.
He was the first born of Harold and Elizabeth (Barron) Pierce of Hamilton, Missouri. He was a 1968 graduate of Penney High School.
He worked a wide variety of jobs in life: truck stop attendant, car detailer, home construction with his Grandfather, Father, and brother, grain bin construction crew, dredge operator, maintenance and snow removal at Lake Viking, mowing service at Lake Viking, laundromat owner and manager, semi-driver, concrete truck driver, and finally a South Harrison school bus driver.
He could fix most things mechanical, and was defeated by only one foreign-made child’s ATV. He knew the most obscure facts and was always mellow and easy-going. He rode motorcycles and was known locally for his green ’55 Ford pickup.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws: Thomas Carlisle and Roberta Harrison; a brother-in-law: J.C. Harrison.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Teresa; siblings: Merle (Barb) of Maryville, Anita (Rick) Jackson of Independence and Kenny of Altamont, nieces and nephews and son of his heart-nephew Tyson (Amanda) Martin of Bethany.
