Twila Ann Carpenter Cook, 50, of Blythedale, MO passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 in Ridgeway, MO.

She was born June 4, 1965, in Bethany, MO, the daughter of Darrell and Ruth Terry Carpenter.

Twila’s mother passed away when she was six. She and her sister went to live with her Uncle Ed and Aunt June King, who raised them as their own.

She moved to Texas where she had a daughter, Katrina, on May 16, 1982. On June 3, 1986, they moved in with Bill Cook, which gave her another daughter, Lindsey. Bill and Twila were married on January 28, 2000.

Twila’s life-long friend was Shauna Allen. They spent many hours together doing their “girl things.” She established the Square Meal Café in Eagleville and operated it for several years. Twila worked at Citizens Bank for many years and made friends with numerous people. The bank girls were like family to her. She attended North Central Missouri College in Trenton. Twila was an enthusiastic supporter of North Harrison school events and her family’s activities.

Twila was a loving wife and mother, wonderful grandmother, and special friend. She put her family before all else. She loved gardening, flowers, her home, antiques, and especially time with family.

Preceding her in death were her mother, her Aunt June, and brother-in-law, Rod Cook.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; daughters Katrina Briggs (Nick) of Ottumwa, Iowa and Lindsey Maize (Jesse) of Blythedale; grandchildren Audry, Collin, and Katelyn Briggs and Wyatt Maize; sister Teresa (Mike) Lewis; brothers Steve Carpenter (Mary) and David Carpenter (Ruth), niece Christy Carpenter, nephew Jeff Carpenter (Carrie), and other nieces and nephews; plus a host of friends and relatives, and the craziest in-laws anywhere.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Eagleville Christian Church, Eagleville, MO. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eagleville High School Band and/or the Eagleville Ball Park in honor of Twila in love for her grandchildren in care of Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Eagleville, MO 64442. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com
