Cainsville, MO: WWII Army Veteran Mary E. Turek, Age 94, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on July 22, 1924 and passed away in White Bear Lake, Minnesota on Monday, 7/30/2018.
Mary was a 1941 graduate of Cainsville High School, Cainsville, Missouri. She worked at the American B-25 Bomber Factory in Kansas City, Missouri before enlisting in the Women’s Army Corp serving as a nurse. She met her husband, August Joseph Turek in a military hospital where August was her patient. Once married they made their home in Hampton, Minnesota and retiring to White Bear lake in later years.
Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, James E. and Clara Gertrude Doyle; Brother James Richard Doyle; and her Husband August Joseph Turek.
Survived by her Daughters, Pat Flaten, Jane Peters, and Bette Turek; 3 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren, a Sister, Elna Isabelle Doyle Graves, 3 nieces and a nephew.
Mary loved life and touched the hearts of many.
Private family services and Interment with Full Military Honors were held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, Minnesota on August 8, 2018.
