Lake Marie, Mercer, MO: Timothy Patrick Flynn, age 63, of Lake Marie, Mercer, Mo., passed away at the Wayne County hospital Corydon, Iowa on February 5, 2023.
Tim was born on December 19, 1959 to Howard P. Flynn and Wanda J. (Davis) Cox in Leon, Iowa.
Tim grew up mainly on the family farm south of Leon, Iowa. While residing in Ridgeway, Mo., he was united in marriage to Tammy R. Crossley Dec. 8, 1978. Three daughters were born of this union, Amanda, April and Ashley.
Tim then joined the United States Army in 1984 and stationed in Texas, Germany and Korea. After discharge the family moved to Omaha, Neb., where he lived until moving to Lake Marie in 2015.
His time was spent fishing, four-wheeling with friends, wheeling and dealing at flea markets, buying, selling and trading coins and listening to rock and roll music. A huge love for football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
He is survived by three daughters, Amanda (Mark) Gustafson, Omaha, Neb.; April Flynn, Springfield, Mo., and Ashley (Aaron) Milligan, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. His soulmate Shirley Thomas; sister, Teresa āTerriā Bennett (Gary Milabar) of Sparks, Nev.; brother, Tom (Inga) Flynn of Gentry, Ark.; sister, Denyse (Kyle) Scott, Osceola, Iowa; sister, Michelle āMitziā (Frank) Ruszkowski of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; brother, Sean Flynn, Davis City, Iowa; brother, Jim (Deanna) Flynn, Lineville, Iowa; brother, Terence āAndyā Flynn (Stacy Koenecke), Ankeny, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
A small graveside service was held with family and friends at the St. Maryās Catholic Cemetery south of Leon, Iowa His laughter, his joking and loving good heart will be missed and loved forever.
