Thomas Peery, an 82-year-old resident of Melbourne, Mo. passed away at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital on Barry Road.
Funeral services were Dec. 6 at Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Burial will follow in the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Thomas Eldon Peery was born March 15, 1934 in Melbourne, Mo. to Eldon and Dorothy (Greenall) Peery. He lived all of his life in Melbourne, other than a time when he was stationed in Germany with the United States Army. He graduated from Gilman High School the class of 1952. On Feb. 10, 1962 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Tharp in Trenton. He farmed the family farm and enjoyed lending the neighbors a hand with any of their projects as well. He was a member of the Edinburg I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Melbourne Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Phyllis of the home, sisters, Linda Gibson of Trenton and Sara Wilson of Maryville, Mo., neighbors they consider their children Jessica, Jacob and Colton Roy, and several nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death include his parents and a sister, Jo Ellen Zimmerman.
