Gilman City, MO: Terry Glenn Gutshall, 76, Gilman City, MO passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at a Trenton, MO hospital.
Terry was born on January 27, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Carl and Shirley (Terry) Gutshall.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of Gilman City High School. He went on to attend York College in Nebraska and then Oklahoma Christian University where he graduated with a degree in business. He held various jobs after college. He was a member of the Gilman City Church of Christ and later the First Baptist Church of Gilman City.
If you knew Terry, you knew he loved the Lord first and Gilman City second. On most days you could catch him up town at the local restaurant, gas station, or on the front row of a Hawks sporting event. He had a great memory for family and community history. He could recite names, dates, and happenings of our little town in an instant. He was truly a Gilman City Icon. He also had a love for the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals. He loved listening to them on the radio and chatting back and forth on his computer with cousin Dennis about the upcoming prospects.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Shirley Gutshall and his brother-in-law, Sam Boyd.
Terry is survived by his brother, Jim (Sandy) Gutshall, Gilman City, MO and sister, Cindy Boyd, Gallatin, MO; six nieces and nephews and their spouses, Jason (Amber) Webb, Jacob (Jackie) Webb, Jarrett (Elisabeth) Webb all of Gilman City, Whiney (Jeremy) Esry, Carly (Jordan) Talbert, Sami (Wyatt) Bird, of Gallatin, MO; 12 great nieces and 4 great nephews, as well as many close cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 30 at the First Baptist Church, Gilman City, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
