Bethany, MO: Suzanne (Adams) Hatten, 82, of Bethany, MO, faithful wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, joyful homemaker, and dedicated servant of Jesus, passed from this life peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s with the love of her life at her bedside on May 31, 2024.
She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 27, 1942, the only child of William T. and Amy June (Haskell) Adams. She graduated from Southwest High School, Bethany, in 1960 and attended Hannibal-LaGrange College earning an Associates’ Degree in business in 1962.
On August 11, 1963, she was united in marriage to Gary D. Hatten at Immanuel Baptist Church in Bethany, Missouri, and to this union were born three children.
Suzanne and Gary served the Lord faithfully in various churches, in multiple locations, most recently as a part of Immanuel Baptist Church in Bethany.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Red Hat Society, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She dedicated her life to encouraging her husband, family and volunteering in her church and community.
Suzanne’s hobbies included genealogy, travel, scrapbooking, and documenting life’s little moments in pictures.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Dorothy Adams.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Gary, daughter Rebecca (Randy) Barron, Jeffrey Hatten, and Brian (Debbie) Hatten; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and half-brother, Richard (Dia) Adams. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Morris Chapel Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
