Ruby LaVerne Roberson, 81, Bethany, Mo., passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 4, 1937 to Rev. John J. Young and Mary Helen Young in Kelly, Lousiana.
LaVerne enjoyed traveling with her husband Wayne, antiquing and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing and made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne Roberson; sons, Buddy Meylian, Jackie Meylian, and Michael Meylian, brothers, Jessie and Jackie Young; sister, Vivian Townley.
Survivors include children, Teresa Hammond, Charlottesville, Va., Mickey Faulkenberry, Bethany, Mo., Carolyn Roberson, Tucson, Ariz., Beth DeVries (Brett), Moses Lake, Wa., Angela Pruitt, Bethany, Mo., Jerry Roberson (Loretta), Lawson, Mo.; grandchildren, Joye Hammond, Christopher Faulkenberry, Lynsey and Kelsi Fleming, Jammie Meylian (Angela), Miranda Wooley (Chris), Amy Meylian, Alisha and Sabrina DeVries, Justin and Veronica Pruitt, Stephen Roberson (Flicsha), Glen Roberson (Melissa); 23 great grandchildren; sisters, Lori McAdams, Mary Warner (Lunsford), Helen Jackson (Dennis), Johnnie Boutwell (Gary), Sharon Mitchell (Ronnie), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
