BETHANY, MO: Roy Wheeler, 79, Bethany, MO passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at a St. Joseph, MO hospital.
He was born March 7, 1938 in Turner, Kansas the son of Ward and Kathaleen (Prather) Wheeler.
On June 13, 1958 he married Melba Wooderson in Mt. Moriah, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wilda “Curly” Harder, Emma Florence Wheeler, and Mary Tagger; and brothers, Ray and Bill Wheeler.
He is also survived by his son, Russell Lee Wheeler, Memphis, TN; daughter, Patricia Jean Kirkwood, Jennings, MO; brother, Wesley Wheeler, Kansas; 2 sisters, Louise Mazza, Chicago, IL, Freda Miller, Coral Gables, FL; and 8 grandchildren.
Roy has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
