Bethany, MO: Rodney Wayne Jackson, age 65, of Bethany, Missouri passed peacefully in the night April 8, 2025.
     Rodney was born September 12, 1959, son of Carl Kenneth and Martha Bell (Neff) Jackson in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
     He attended elementary and high school in Saint Joseph before moving to Bethany where he was a graduate of South Harrison high school in 1978. Rodney completed the diesel mechanics program at Chillicothe Vo-Tech school. After graduating, he worked as a mechanic for the John Deere dealership in Tarkio, MO. He returned to Bethany to farm with his family. In addition to farming, he enjoyed hauling grain and was an independent trucker.
     Rodney was married in 1989 to this union a son, Andrew, was born.
     Rodney ‘s passion for motorcycles began at a young age with dirt bikes. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved to see how things worked and take things apart while not always putting them back together. He was a lifelong comedian, and able to find humor in everything he did. He truly enjoyed his family.
     Rodney was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

     He is survived by his mother, Martha Jackson, Bethany, MO; son, Andrew (Beth) Jackson, Bethany, MO; sisters, Sondra (Grover) DePriest, Savannah, MO and  Susan (Gary) Nelson, Saint Joseph, MO; brother; Ryan Jackson, Kansas City, MO; nephews, Jarrett DePriest and Jacob Nelson; nieces, Melissa (Brad Miller) DePriest, Rachel (Tyler) Wilson and Madelyn Nelson; great nephew, Jayce DePriest; great nieces, Jordyn and Charlie Wilson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

     Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Springer Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Springer Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
