Cameron, MO: Patricia Kay “Pat” Heaps, 76, Cameron, MO (formerly of Bethany and Lake Viking, MO) passed away August 10, 2021 at her home.

     Pat was born September 4, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the daughter of Onas and Dorotha (Morrow) Lane.

     On December 22, 1963, she married Larry Heaps in Castle Rock, Colorado.  He survives of the home.

     Pat graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado and attended Colorado State College.  She worked as a bookkeeper and as a software consultant.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi in Bethany and Stanberry, MO.

     Pat’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren and attending their activities, especially the summers with them at Lake Viking.  She also enjoyed traveling, cruises, float trips with some of her best friends and going to casinos.  Pat was a great cook and made “Mega-Breakfast” for the family.  She was famous for making unique homemade greeting cards and Christmas ornaments.  For activities, Pat enjoyed a golf game and playing cards with friends.  She developed good lifelong friendships with numerous people.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Richey and her father and mother-in-law, Richard and Josephine Heaps.

     Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Larry; daughters, Adrianne Workman (John Douglas), Columbia, SC and Melissa (Kevin) Peterson, Nevada, IA; grandchildren, Dalton Workman, Columbia, SC, Makinsey Workman, Kansas City, MO and Chloe Peterson, Nevada, IA;

sisters, Evelyn (John) Thoelcke, Estes Park, CO and Cheryl Lane, Spokane, WA; sister-in-law, Juanita Heaps, Springfield, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

     Pat has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.      A Celebration of Life will be held in December and announced by Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany.  Inurnment will be in Lake Viking Cemetery, Gallatin, MO.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Harrison County Cancer Transportation Fund and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
