Bethany, MO: Norma Jean Price, age 87, of Bethany, MO, passed away February 18, 2025, at St. Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Norma was born on January 8, 1938, the daughter of Elgin and Cleo (Hamilton) Neff.
She was a 1955 graduate of South Harrison High School, Bethany, MO. She attended Business College after finishing high school.
On July 4, 1958, she was united in marriage to Melbourne Price in McFall, MO.
Norma was a homemaker until their children were in school. She worked as a bookkeeper for MFA and White Auto Supply. She babysat for a few children locally before getting her CNA license and then ended her working career of many years as a CNA at Crestview Home.
She had a passion for quarter horses and spent time barrel racing on her prize-winning horse, Cindy.
Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Ronnie Dale Neff; her husband, Mel; granddaughter, Nicole Hurt and grandson, Kevin Hurt.
She leaves to mourn her passing son, Larry (Rhonda) Price, Polo, MO; daughter, Cheryl Hurt, Gladstone, MO; brother-in-law, Larry (Rosalie) Price, Albany, MO; step grandson, Randy (Jenny) Robison; step granddaughter, Brandy (Zeb) Jackson and great granddaughter, Kylie Orwick and her brother, Jason; step great grandchildren, Jared, Ryan, Kade, and Kyle; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Norma has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. There will be no services held to fulfill her final wishes. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Springer Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Springer Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
