MONTICELLO, IA: Mildred Easton, 101, (formerly of Bethany, MO) passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa, IA.
She was born May 28, 1915 in Florence, NE the daughter of Chauncy and Lena (Calkin) Gilbert.
On November 27, 1938 she married Dale Easton in Alamosa, CO. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1991.
Mildred worked as a Nurse’s Aide for 20 years at Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, MO. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Bethany, MO.
In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Gilbert Easton, Monticello, IA; daughters, Karel Henton, Mesa, AZ, and Bertie (Terry) Jennings, Gilbert, AZ; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
