BETHANY, MO: Michael Robert Maginity, 60, of Bethany, MO passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home in Bethany, MO.
He was born August 27, 1956 the son of Robert C. and Nelly (Nugent) Maginity.
On November 7, 2009 he married Mary Cochrane in Las Vegas, NV. She survives of the home.
Michael served in the United States Coast Guard and worked for Ironworkers Local 433 of Los Angeles, CA. He was a proud, sober member of Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous for 19 years. He loved riding his motorcycle up the beautiful California Coast. He was known as “Iron Mike” and loved being a proud Iron Worker. He also enjoyed golf and tinkering in his garage.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
In addition to his wife, Mary, Michael is survived by his daughter, Mysti C. (Christopher) Baker, Pittsford, MI; 2 step daughters, Lindsay (Jeffrey) Lovins, Bethany, MO, Laura Gibbs (Mike Sterken) Ft. Atkinson, WI; sister, Elizabeth Maginity, Lancaster, CA; and grandkids, Kayleen, Vinny, Elijah, and Johnny.
There is no scheduled funeral service.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 14 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
