New Hampton, MO:  Megan Stephanie Caley, 36, of New Hampton, MO went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday July 24, 2024, with family by her side at a Kansas City, Kansas hospital.

     She was born December 20, 1987 in Sacramento, California the oldest daughter to John and Janice (Soares) Wagner. 

     In 1993, their family of 5 moved to Ridgeway, Missouri and in 2001, they moved to Bethany, Missouri, where Megan attended high school at South Harrison.  While attending school at South Harrison, Megan met the love of her life, Ian Caley.  In her teenage years, Megan gave her life to Christ at the Immanuel Baptist Church she called home and was actively involved in up until her death.   

     Megan graduated from South Harrison in 2006, and after high school, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree.  She then began a career for Cerner in Kansas City.  Megan left Cerner and pursued a career at Common Spirit and while she was there, she went on to get her master’s degree.  During the last few months of her life, Megan left Common Spirit and took a job at Banner Health, as a Project Manager. 

     In 2009, Megan was united in marriage to Ian Caley.  When they were joined together, Ian’s dream of living on a farm then became Megan’s dream.  She joined in and learned she could mow hay and work cattle alongside her husband.  Megan never put herself before others.  In 2011, they welcomed their first daughter, Charolette Marie Caley.  They then welcomed their second daughter, Caroline Mae, 3 years and 1 day later.  Their third and final child was born, a daughter, 3-1/2 years later.  They named her Catherine Monroe.  Together, Ian and Megan enjoyed life with their family.  They loved to travel, attend church and church events, as well as tractor pulls and kids ball games.

     Megan also currently served as the Treasurer for Immanuel Baptist Church as well as the chair for the new building project. 

     She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Wagner; maternal grandparents, John and Donna Soares and her paternal grandparents.

     Survivors in addition to her loving husband, Ian Caley, are three daughters, Charolette, Caroline and Catherine; father, John (Teresa) Wagner; sisters, Melyssa (Nick) Neuner and Mallorie Wagner; father and mother-in-law, Ken and Sandra Caley; sister-in-law, Klaire Caley;  other survivors include her beloved nieces and nephews, Larson, Lucien, Lennox, Eli, Mavis, Rowen, Abe, Parker and Carter, as well as a host of family and close friends. 

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.  Burial will follow in the  Foster Cemetery, New Hampton, MO.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O.
