Marvin was born June 27, 1932 north of Cainsville. He married Juanita LaFollette in 1952 at the Cainsville Methodist Church. He worked in maintenance at Crestview Home. He was a member of the Cainsville Assembly of God Church. His parents: Nort and Gladys (Stanley) Phillips, brother-in-law: Robert Gibson, nephews: Jeff Phillips and Tracy Gibson preceded him in death.

Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Assembly of God Church, Cainsville; Burial: Akron Cemetery, Cainsville; family visitation 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
