GILMAN CITY, MO: Marjorie Mae Hughes Kralicek was born October 26, 1928 to William Matthew and Leona Vickroy Hughes in Wall Lake, Iowa. She left this world on January 15, 2017 at the age of 88.
Marge was united in marriage to Duane Rudolf Kralicek on March 27, 1948 in Pattonsburg, MO. The couple had two sons, John William and Gerald Keith. They raised their family in Gilman City, MO. Marge attended business school but made a career from being a beautician. Marge loved to travel and spend time with family. She was a great cook and made the best fried chicken. Marge was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gilman City. She also played the piano and organ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Gene Hughes, and son, Gary.
Marge is survived by a son, John (Sandy) Kralicek of Trenton, MO; daughter-in-law, Carla Kralicek of Gilman City, MO; grandchildren, Shawn (Tracy) Kralicek of Trenton, MO, Lindy (Lonnie) Saul of Galt, MO, Jason (Seth) Kralicek of Kansas City, MO, and Corby (Louie) Lyons of Kearney, MO; great grandchildren, Megan and Macy Saul, Matthew Kralicek, and Ryker Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22 at the United Methodist Church in Gilman City, MO. Private family burial will follow in Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO.
