ALBANY, MO: Marilyn F. Morgan, 79, of Albany, MO (formerly of Denver, MO) passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.
She was born December 11, 1937 in Harrison County, MO the daughter of Loren and Orabell (Sharp) Griffin.
On November 17, 1953 she married Robert Morgan in Bethany, MO. He survives of the home.
Marilyn worked for the dietary department at Northwest Medical Center in Albany. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and attended the Assembly of God Church in Albany.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Kent Morgan; son-in-law, Kenny Stoner; and brothers, Milford and Vernon Griffin.
Survivors in addition to her husband of 63 years, Robert, include her daughters, Linda (Randy) Hart, Chillicothe, MO, Peggy Stoner, Mt. Moriah, MO; son, Terry (Kathy) Morgan, Albany, MO; brother, Virgil (Carolyn) Griffin, Coffey, MO; sister-in-law, Norma Griffin, Gallatin, MO; grandchildren, Melanie (Willie) Fish, Tara (Matt) Dodge, Ivy (Mitch) Reger, Micah Baker, Michael Hart, Lindsey (Nick) Smith, Keri Stoner, Kelli (Nathan) Pickering; and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 19 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
