Cameron, MO: Margaret “Maggie” McBrayer, 69, Cameron, MO., passed away on February 3, 2023, at a care facility in Kansas City, MO. She previously lived in St. Joseph, MO.
Maggie was born on September 20, 1953, in New Hampton, MO., to Victor and Edith (Rucker) Dill. She graduated from the Martinsville, MO., high school in 1971. Maggie worked as a Work Comp Supervisor for American Family Insurance in St. Joseph. She retired from there after 34 years of service and then began working for Cameron Mutual Insurance where she was employed for 10 years.
Maggie could do just about anything. She enjoyed photography, watching her grandsons, riding her Harley-Davidson, sewing, cross-stitch, cooking, baking, decorating, attending auctions and garage sales, and teaching others how to swim. She also enjoyed calligraphy, sudoku, her Bunco Club, and she volunteered at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
On June 3, 2003, she married Mack Keith McBrayer in Woodland Park, Colorado. He survives of the home.

Ayr, IA.; Lila (Maurice) Craig, Eagleville, MO.; Jane (Rick) Dierenfeldt, Allendale, MO.; and Robert Dill, Gerard, IL; son-Christopher Anderson, Fillmore, MO., his two sons-Collin and Ryden Anderson, and their mom, Allison Cooksey; Step-sons-Darren (Ashley) McBrayer, Peculiar, MO., and Brian McBrayer, Florida; and Step-daughter-Erin (Jason) Bane, Kansas City, MO.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
Visitation: 12:30 to 2 p.m., Sat., Feb. 18, at the church, prior to the service.
Inurnment at a later date at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. Regarding donations in Maggie’s memory, she would ask that you give someone a step-up who is trying hard but struggling.
