A couple years later, May of 1960, they purchased the big house West of Ridgeway, Missouri, which was also known as the Maxwell farm on Route A. August of that year, they welcomed their youngest daughter, Kelly Ann Comer.

Throughout Marnell’s life, she worked at the Sizzler Steakhouse, Gray’s Jewlery, and her and Bud ran the bowling alley for a few years. Aside from raising 6 children she loved to go bowling and play in tournaments with Bud as well as Gene and Sue Buis. She also enjoyed golfing with her friend Marilyn O’Neal and the crew. To know her, was to love her. She was the most kind and genuine person with a dash of spit fire. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and Yahtzee with her great grandkids.
