Larry Eisenbarger, 79, passed away on May 19, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas, 10 days before his 80th birthday.
He was born May 29, 1939 at the family farm home between Eagleville and Hatfield to Oscar (Joe) and Jewell Eisenbarger.
Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, Ora and Leo; four sisters, Virginia, Pauline, Madeline and Thelma.
He is survived by his wife Pat, two sons, John David and Kevin; three daughters, Shanan, Kara and Kelly; three grandchildren, Tawnee, Tiler and Lily Ann, two great grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen; his much loved cats, Little Bit and Noni; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Larry graduated from South Harrison School in 1957. He enlisted in the Army for six months and followed with being in the Army Reserves. On returning he worked at Gray Bar Electric in Kansas City, Mo., for a short while. He then entered Northwest Missouri State College where he graduated in 1963 with a degree in Biology. He taught biology and coached basketball at Grandview High School in Kansas City, Mo. 1963-1967.
In 1967 he moved to Anaheim, Calif. where he taught for a short while. He started working for Cooper Laboratories in pharmaceuticals. He found himself working at government offices in Washington D. C., which sent him all over Europe. The majority of his career was a pacemaker representative all over Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. in hospitals and doctor offices. The medical field brought him in contact with a lot of people and he always made a friend where ever he went, and a perfect jokester he would lighten any room.
Slowing down after the end of a long career in the medical field and a battle with cancer; Larry loved to work side jobs at events in Austin, Texas. He enjoyed working the University of Texas football games, South by Southwest Music Festivals, The Valero Open and many concerts.
He would have worked until his last day, as he always found and made work fun.
He will be sadly missed by all who know him and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
