Bethany, MO: Kentlie Jayme Rose (Jennings) Mullett, age 24, and her unborn daughter, Martha Lainey Grayce, were carried away by angels on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024. Kentlie was the loving mother of Saylor Bae Hank, 5 years old, and Nova Leigh Helen, 18 months, and an adoring wife to Roy Mullett. Kentlie, daughter of Kelly Denise Jennings and Jeffery Kent Cook, was born on May 6, 2000 in Trenton, MO.

Kentlie attended SHHS, where she enjoyed cheerleading, archery, and band. She excelled at Trapshooting with the Northwest Missouri Shooters, who were also like family. Kentlie loved crafts and being creative. She could make or do anything after watching a few youtube videos. Kentlie’s interest in hair, makeup, and nails led her to attend cosmetology school in Chillicothe. Kentlie could do anything that she put her mind to, that was one of her greatest qualities.

Roy and Kentlie’s love story began in November of 2021 in Iowa where they lived. Roy went on to ask the most important question of his life in July of 2022 when he proposed to Kentlie. In June of 2023, they decided to plant roots in Kentlie’s hometown of Bethany, MO. They were married there on September 9, 2023. They have three daughters, Saylor Bae Hank (5 years old), Nova Leigh Helen (18 months), and Baby Martha Lainey Grayce, who went to heaven with her mom.

Kentlie loved all people, especially her family and all of her extended family. Her Grandma Helen held a very special place in her heart. Kentlie made sure to fulfill Grandma Helen’s wishes to celebrate her 95th birthday with an ice cream cake decorated with her favorite color, purple. She was always looking for a reason to celebrate and get her family together.  Kentlie was a caretaker at heart. She wanted to make sure that everyone was taken care of, they had everything they needed, and she would be involved in whatever that entailed. She had all of the best qualities in a sister, daughter, and wife. She had the kindest soul, was ever so giving, and so very forgiving. If you got one phone call from her in a day, you should expect 10. She wasn’t much on texting. It was almost as though she needed to hear your voice and now we all understand why. Her light shined so bright.

Kentlie had recently been saved and baptized at the Kirkley Chapel where she attended Church. She found joy in going to anything church related as a child and that followed into adulthood. Kentlie and her family loved to attend POST and never missed a Monday. Kentlie was always encouraging everyone to join her at church which resulted in her mom and sisters also attending.

She was Aunt Titi to her many nieces and nephews (blood or not) and loved them all so very much. Anytime she saw her sweet little people she would give them love and say “Aunt Titi loves you so much”.

Kentlie’s earthly body is gone, but we find peace in knowing that both she and baby Lainey are forever resting in Jesus’ arms.

Kentlie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Helen and Virgil Jennings; her grandmother, Helen Cook; her grandfather, Max Jennings; her uncles, Tony Jennings and Larry Jennings and her cousin, Jordin Jennings.

Left to mourn her death are her husband, Roy Mullet; daughters Saylor and Nova; mother, Kelly Jennings; father, Jeffery Cook; grandparents, Waverly (Jack) Medlin; siblings, Lyndsey (Cory) Jennings, Brittany (Ben) Wilson, Dakota Parkhurst, Austin Jennings, Andrew Jennings, Max (Dayton) Clemmons, and Justice (Gracie) Cook; adopted sister, Shantel Ballard; nieces, Emersyn Linthacum, Jaetlyn Bain, Zaeyah Jennings, Graelie Wilson, Mavis Clemmons, Quaed Wilson and nephews, Gradyn Linthacum, Detroyt Linthacum, Kayden Bain, Houstyn Craig, Kaebryk Wilson, and Bowen Hayes.
