Joy Marie Ward, 70, Gilman City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Trenton, Missouri on March 29, 1950 the daughter of Garland and Mildred (Ratliff) King. She was a lifelong resident of Gilman City, Mo.
She was married to Don Allen Ward on May 10, 1969. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1992.
Joy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary King and a sister, Deanna Meek.
Joy is survived by her two sons, Shawn (Jodi) Ward, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Brandon (Kerri) Ward, Stanberry, Mo; five grandchildren, Colten Ward, Spokane, Wash., Justice Ward, Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Rylan and Renner Ward, Lathrop, Mo., Haizlee Ward, Stanberry, Mo.; great grandchild, Vincent Ward, Spokane, Wash.; brother, Bill King and his wife, Sheryl, Gilman City, Mo., and two sisters, Kathleen Crump and Norma Cross both of Gilman City, Mo.
Joy has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo.
Memorial services were July 21 at the Melbourne Baptist Church, Melbourne, Mo., under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo. Inurnment in Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City, Mo.
