Mires, JohnJohn Kirby Mires, 45, Maryville, MO, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in Maryville.

John was born June 12, 1969, in Maryville to Hugh and Doris Jean Linthicum Mires.  He graduated from Maryville R-II High School and attended Northwest Missouri State University.

John joined the Missouri Army National Guard in December 1986 and served for 27 years, including deployments in Afghanistan and
Kosovo.

John worked for more than 20 years for Boyles Motors managing the parts department and body shop.
He most recently worked in sales for Boyles Motors and Meyer Auto Center.

John was a member of Laura Street Baptist Church, Elks Lodge, and past president of Maryville JayCees.
He served on the Miss NWMO/Miss Maryville/Miss NW Counties Scholarship Pageant Board.

In March 2001, John married Megan Ayres.  They later divorced.  In January 2013, John married Sherrilyn Clawson in Maryville.

John is preceded in death by his mother in March 1995, brother, Jerry Calvin Mires in July 1963 and brother-in-law, Albert Hoecker in
December 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Sherrilyn of the home, his children Jessica and James Mires of Hopkins, and Nicole, Sara and Abby Clawson;
his father Hugh Mires, Maryville; two brothers David (Cindy) Mires, Maryville and Robert (Jeannette) Mires, Rogers, AR; four sisters Mary Jane Hoecker, Albuquerque, NM; Paula (Larry) Haataja, Maryville, Tammy (Phil) O’Donnell, Omaha, NE; and Susan Mires, St. Joseph, MO.
He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Laura Street Baptist Church, Maryville, MO.  The minister will be Pastor Paul McKim.  The burial will follow in the Miriam Cemetery, Maryville, with Military Rites by the 129th Missouri National Guard Unit, and members of James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, both of Maryville.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Friday, May 22, 2015, at the Laura Street Baptist Church.

Services are under the direction of the Bram-Danfelt Funeral Home, Maryville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to help with final expenses.
