Jean Rae Bauer, 75, Bethany, MO (formerly of Belton, MO) passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at her home.
She was born on December 5, 1944 in San Diego, California the daughter of James Harland and Elma Marie (Lockwood) Hesselman.
She attended Stephen’s College in Columbia, Missouri and then worked as a dispatcher and head of Records Department at the Belton Police Department. She enjoyed her grandkids and in her spare time she loved to work on jigsaw puzzles and gamble.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brett Deforest Bauer.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Brooke (Marvin) Hendrix, Kansas City, MO and Brande Bauer (Jack Pickren), Bethany, MO; grandchildren, Kalee Wright, Madison Hendrix and Clayton Hendrix; brothers, Jim (Holly) Hesselman, Mondovi, WI and John Hesselman, Glenwood Springs, CO and niece, Heidi and nephews, Jeff and Erik. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home where social distancing will be observed and masks are recommended.
