Bethany, MO: Jason Lee Ward, 48, Bethany, Mo., passed away at his home on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
He was born on February 8, 1976, at Mt. Ayr Hospital to Charles and Barbara (Kern) Ward.
Jason lived a troubled life and battled his own demons for many years. With that being said there was a good side to Jason. He was actually a very talented guy. He loved doing tattoos, drawing, and playing his guitar. His troubled past caused a lot of heartache and worry for his family but they still loved him. He loved his family too, especially his nephew, bubby Wayland. Maybe now he can find peace and be free from his demons.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Charles Jr.; paternal and maternal grandparents; several aunts and uncles; cousin, Clinton Kern and best lifelong friend and brother, Cory Butterfield.
Jason is survived by his son, Abel (Jesse) Pottorff; his mom; half-sister, Patricia O’Connel; sister, Misty (David) Carter; brother, Roger (Stephanie) Ward; aunts, Sherrie Kern and Shirley Ward; uncle, Terry (Julie) Ward; several cousins; nephew, Wayland Carter; step-nephews, Chance and Carter; step-niece, Adylyn and long-time friend and brother, Elisha Wilson.
Jason has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, Mo.
