Janet Sue Stitt, 83, St. Joseph, MO, passed away April 2, 2015 at her home in St. Joseph, MO.
Janet was born January 24, 1932 in Pattonsburg, MO the daughter of Olin and Bernice (Vance) Meadows.
She attended Pattonsburg High School where she played volleyball and trumpet and graduated in 1950.
On December 15, 1950 she married her high school sweetheart Paul Stitt in Pattonsburg, MO. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maxine Morris and Dorlene Munn; and infant son, Paul Randall.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Sue (Jim) Woodward, McFall, MO; son, Bill (Shannan) Stitt, Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Betty Rose Eastwood, Goodlettsville, TN; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Roberson Funeral Home in Pattonsburg, MO. Burial will follow in the Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO.
