James Edward Woodring, 59, of Pattonsburg, MO passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home in Pattonsburg, MO.
He was born June 25, 1956 in Honolulu, HI the son of Lewis Edward and Marilyn (Lance) Woodring. They preceded him in death.
On November 7, 1986 he married Sandra “Sam” Lopez in New Orleans, LA. She survives at home.
James served in the United States Navy and later worked as a corrections officer for Western Missouri Correction Center and also in construction.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Woodring Jr.; and sisters, Doris Jean, Carol Icard and Diana Cain.
Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 sons, Michael Woodring, Marietta, GA and Matthew Woodring, Kansas City, MO; 2 step sons, Rene and Eric Gonzales; step daughter, Amanda Gonzales; 2 step grandchildren, Beaugh and Jovoni; brothers, Dale (Kim) Woodring, Bethany, MO, John (Toni) Woodring, Gilman City, MO; sister, Martha Sarmiento, Cameron, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services with Military Rites will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 27 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
