Bethany, MO: Glenn Brice Cochrane, 83, Bethany, MO (formerly of Omaha, NE) passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home in Bethany, Missouri.
Glenn was born in Omaha, NE, on June 14, 1935, the son of George and Alma (Henkle) Cochrane. He graduated from South High in 1953.
Glenn married Beverly Jane Meurrens on September 28, 1963, in Omaha, NE. She survives of the home.
He attended the University of Omaha and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He worked for Mutual of Omaha, American Family, and Farmers Insurance. He was a member of the United Farmers Association. He was an avid Nebraska Huskers fan. He coached women’s softball at Mutual of Omaha. He was a 4th degree Knight with Knights of Columbus. He was also a member at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bethany, MO.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Cochrane, Melton Cochrane, Milo Cochrane, and Robert Cochrane.
In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his three daughters, Mary Maginity, Diane (Mayor Todd) Williams, Carrie (Fred) Carpenter; grandchildren; Lindsay (Jeffery) Lovins, Laura Gibbs, Samantha (Matthew) Gibbs, Amanda Sutton, Josie Williams, T.J. Williams Jr., Thaddeus Carpenter, Brian (Taylor) Carpenter, Seth Carpenter; and great grandchildren, Carter Gibbs, Camden Gibbs, Colten Moore, Kayleen Lovins, Conley Gibbs, Elijah Lovins, Callan Gibbs, and Malakai Ojeda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, NE. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Bethany, MO with prayers of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.robersonfuneralhome.com.
