Ann was a very humble and amazing woman. The word ‘pride’ would describe her best. She was no nonsense, don’t just talk about it, do it. She was proud to be who she was. Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, business partner, faithful Calvary Baptist Church member (over 50 years), family cheerleader, and Leon community member.
Traveling around the world and attending her grandchildren’s activities consumed her time when not working with Rick at Plaza Furniture. Dusting and vacuuming could wait till another day, attending sporting events (with camera) took precedence. Passing out Bibles in China & Russia was pretty gutsy, and she made it back home to tell the story.
Ann’s family and friends remember her smiling. She sacrificed her needs for those of family and friends. Her guiding light was Jesus which she shared on mission trips, Sunday school, summer bible school, and the ladies bible study. It never hurt that she was an excellent cook with prize winning dinner rolls, and cinnamon rolls devoured by immediate and church family.
Ann’s family will greet friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, November 25, 2022, Calvary Baptist Church, 1302 Poplar Street, Leon, Iowa 50144. Her funeral service was November 26, 2022 at the church. Burial will follow at Leon Cemetery, then lunch back at church.
Memorials may be directed to EveryStep Hospice in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
