(McGuyver) Eric William Giles, 37 years old of Pattonsburg, MO, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 12th, 2019, near Ward, CO. Eric was born on January 19th, 1982 in Cameron, MO to the late Theresa (Teel) Parmenter of Pattonsburg, MO, and the late George Giles of Clarksdale, MO. Eric was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joseph and Lois Giles.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha (Sperry) Giles; sons, William and Henry Giles; siblings Andy and the late Chrissy Eller Giles of Bethany, MO, Renee and Cody Schimming of Maryville, MO, Logan Parmenter of St. Joseph, MO, Joe and Tiffany Giles of Clarksdale, MO and Mindie and Shane Akers of Clarksdale, MO; Step-father Mark Parmenter of Pattonsburg, MO; Loving Grandparents, Curly and Arlene Gardner of Pattonsburg, MO and Kenny Teel of St. Joseph, MO; as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eric was honest and strong. He was a hard working man. He was an avid outdoorsman, and liked to break rock and hunt birds in his spare time. He was a fan of anything on wheels and if it wasn’t already running, McGuyver had the skills to make things work again. He loved to spend time in the woods working with his Grandpa, and to sit around fact checking Pattonsburg history and reminiscing with his friends and family. He was a proud man who made sure to live a life; to create a life for his children, that a man could be proud of. He will be severely missed. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Cremation will follow the service with inurnment at a later date in the McFall Cemetery, McFall, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
