Bethany, MO: Phyllis Elaine Flint Bullock, daughter of James Clayton and Gladys (Finch) Flint, was born February 28, 1932 in Bethany, Missouri and departed this life on February 7, 2022 at Crestview Nursing home in Bethany, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 10 days.
Elaine was reared in Bethany, MO where she attended the First Baptist Church and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She graduated from Bethany High School in 1950.
At the First Baptist Church in Bethany, she met Terry Bullock. On August 10, 1952, they were married. To this union, a son, David, was born on February 13, 1955.
After graduation from Northwest Missouri Sate University in Maryville, Elaine began her career as a grade school teacher in Illinois and Iowa.
Retiring to Bethany in 1989, her final years were given to the Baptist Church work. She served as Sunday school teacher and served on various committees. She also worked in the AWANA program and was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady” by all the AWANA kids.
She was also a member of the Harrison County Genealogical Society where she enjoyed working at cutting notices from the newspaper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her son.
Elaine is survived by her sister-in-law, Tasha Bullock; and her First Baptist Church Family all of Bethany, MO. Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12 in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO.
