It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Ann Purdun announce her passing. Dorothy passed away at her home in Bethany Mo on July 2nd, 2021 at the age of 70.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Lawrence (Larry) Quinn Purdun, and her mother, Leatha Shelton.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her children Spencer Park, Jr., Christopher (Chris) W. Park, Kristina Park, and her father, Francis Junior Shepard, her siblings, Connie Sue Dover, Larry Gale Shepard, and Gary Dale Shepard, and her many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces, nephews, and relatives
Dorothy was born in Kansas City, Mo January 4, 1951. She attended High School at Wyandotte High School in the late 1960’s, met and married, Spencer Park, and over a few short years became a proud loving parent of three children.
Later in life Dorothy moved to Bethany to be closer to her father, living in a house close to his, she worked for the Christian Work Shop, and The Bethany Thrift Shop. She met her last love in life in Bethany, marrying Lawrence (Larry) Quinn Purdun on May 26, 2000.
Dorothy enjoyed sewing and small crafts, crafting things like throws, rugs, doilies, and pot holders. Dorothy was a fervent believer in Christ, and regularly attend church services at Faith Community Christian Church.
A Memorial Service was held at Bethany Memorial Chapel, on July 10, 2021, with Reverend Richard Birdsong officiating.
