Gilman City, MO: Darrell D. Ratliff, 89, Gilman City, MO passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at a Bethany, MO nursing home.

     He was born on December 23, 1929 north of Gilman City, Missouri the son of Francis Lee and Alice Fay (Long) Ratliff.

     On May 15, 1949 he married Delores Marshall.

     Darrell was a graduate of Gilman City High School in 1947. He worked as a rural mail carrier for 30 years and as a famer and for 25 years was the owner and operator of Ratliff B&R Service Station and Ratliff Garage. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gilman City where he also served as a Deacon.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Fay; brothers, Dale and Jim Ratliff; sisters, Vivian McAtee, Maggie Waterbury, Aville Robertson and Delores Pierce; great grandson, Cody Ratliff and two sons-in-law, Brian Burke and Kevin Sutton.

      Darrell is survived by his wife of 70 years, Delores, of the home; five children, Ronnie (Iva) Ratliff, Connie (Bob) Ward, both of Gilman City, MO, Cathie Sutton, Rick (Beth) Ratliff and Cheri (Bryan) Foster all of Bethany, MO; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and two sisters, Winifred Burrows, Gallatin, MO and Carolyn (Virgil) Griffin, Coffey, MO.      Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28 at the First Baptist Church, Gilman City, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Gilman City, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Masonic Cemetery and/or Christian Union Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
