Connie Sue Thomas, age 66, passed away, September 10, 2021 at North Kansas City Hospital.  She was born November 26, 1954 in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Aubrey Conn (AC) and Mary Bea (King) Wilkinson. She was a graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany, Missouri. 

She married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Rick) Allen Thomas on December 29,1972 at Bethany United Methodist Church.  They lived together in St. Joseph, Missouri before relocating to Lawson, Missouri where they stayed to raise their children. Connie is survived by her husband, Rick Thomas of the home.  Two children: Josh (Lisa) Thomas, of Lawson and Emily (Jamie) Haines, of Lee’s Summit. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Abby, Grant, Kale (Thomas) and Jamison (Haines). Connie is also survived by her mother, Mary Wilkinson of Grant City, a sister, Jane (Randall) Baker of Allendale, Missouri and a brother, Scott Wilkinson also of Allendale. Connie is preceded in death by her father, Aubrey (AC) Wilkinson and a sister, Mary Beth Wilkinson.

Connie worked for 38 years at Hunt Midwest Enterprises before retiring in 2018. She was also a member of the Lawson United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Circle of Friends sorority. Connie enjoyed playing golf with Rick, watching her grandkids in their various activities and was an avid Chiefs Fan.

Please join us to celebrate her life Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm with a service following at the United Methodist Church in Lawson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
