Holt, MO: Our beloved father, Cleo B. “CB” Tripp Jr, died at the age of 83 with family at his bedside, on December 19th at Liberty Hospital. A celebration of life will be held Friday January 7, 2022, at Holt First Baptist Church in Holt, Mo. Visitation starts at 5 p.m. and a Celebration of Life starts at 6 p.m.
CB was born in Fayette, Mo., and raised in Eagleville, Mo., before marrying and settling down in Holt, where he has been a member of the community for over 60 years. He retired from the U.S Postal Service and spent much of his time thereafter helping family, friends, neighbors, and eventually caring for his wife and true love, Patty.
CB enjoyed his friends at the Breakfast Club, fishing, gardening, working in his woodshop, and their little dog Cooper, but was particularly fond of his other vices- Pepsi, his cigarettes, and occasionally visiting the “boat”.
CB is survived by his wife Patty Jo {Madison) Tripp, son Evan L. Tripp and wife Mischelle, grandson Collin B. Tripp, granddaughter Brigitte L. Tripp; daughter Sue Ann Boice, grandson Benton Boice, grandson, Bradley Boice; son Roger W. Tripp and wife Lisa, and grandson, Garett Tripp. He was predeceased by his grandson Austin Tripp, brother Doug Tripp, half-brother Orlo McCoy, and half-sister Dorothy Jane McCoy Harris.
