GILMAN CITY, MO: Charles W. Marshall, 88, a resident of rural Gilman City, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at his home south of Gilman City.
Charles was born January 24, 1930 in Daviess County, MO, the son of A. Wood and Berniece (Wright) Marshall.
On April 28, 1957 he was united in marriage to Lela Ruth Urton. To this union 4 children were born. Lela Ruth preceded Charles in death on May 7, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Marshall; and his brother, Donald Marshall.
Charles served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong farmer in the Daviess County area.
Survivors include his sons, Stephen (Kim) Marshall, Gilman City, MO and Mark Marshall, Palm Springs, CA; daughter, Jeaneen (Mark) Boyer, Faucett, MO; daughter-in-law, Glenda Marshall, Gilman City, MO; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, at Blue Ridge Church, Blue Ridge, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Charles will be cremated following the visitation with inurnment at a later date in Union Grove Cemetery, Gilman City, MO.
