Pattonsburg, MO: Charles (Richard) Walker passed away into Heaven on December 1, 2021, at Cameron Regional Medical Center at the age of 74.
He was born on November 15, 1947 in Trenton, MO, to Charles Raymond and Margaret Jean (Treadway) Walker.
Richard grew up in Holden, MO and chose to join the Army and served as a Gunnery Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division, serving two tours in Vietnam, earning 3 Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and several other Accommodations. Later, Richard went on to serve as a Supervisor for General Motors Company in Kansas City, MO, where he retired after 32 years of service. Richard was married to Bonnie Cornett on March 11, 1995. After retirement and building their dream home in Pattonsburg, MO, Richard and Bonnie spent their time in the country enjoying nature, entertaining visitors at the family farm and taking many trips and adventures together.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Jean (Treadway) Walker; son, Wesley Walker; uncle, John Treadway; aunt, Mary Williams; in-laws, Dale (Jack) and Julia Cornett; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Cornett, Danny Cornett, and Roger Peters.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Bonnie G. (Cornett) Walker, of the home; children, son, Larry Walker (Tomie Jo), son, Ryan Eli Walker, Kingman, AZ, daughter, Tommye Quilty (Mike), Mound City, MO, daughter, Joey Thompson (Brian), Union Star, MO, son, Sam Everly (Chelsea), St. Joseph, MO; brother Bobby (Bob) Walker (Pam), Jamesport, MO, and grandchildren, Lexie and Charlie Walker, Paige and Taylor Quilty, Colton and Remie Thompson, and Carson and Cameron Everly. He is also survived by aunts, Louise Smith and Darlene Gaston; nephews, Cliff and Stephen Walker, along with several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 6 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. Burial with Military Rites will follow in Civil Bend Christian Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
