Gladstone, MO: Charles A. Booth, 82, Gladstone, MO (formerly of Bethany, MO) passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at a Smithville, assisted living.

     He was born on August 21, 1936 in Marshfield, Missouri the son of William W. and Icy M. (Clift) Booth.

     Charles was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Science as well as Industrial Arts. He later attained his master’s degree of science from Central Missouri State University. Charles taught and was a football coach at Eddyville High School in Eddyville, Iowa, Westport High School, North Kansas City High School, Winnetonka High School and Park Hill High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He was also a contractor and later owned his own company and enjoyed working with his hands. Charles was a member of the Air National Guard and later obtained his pilot’s license as a civilian and thoroughly enjoyed flying.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

     Charles is survived by his daughters, Alane Booth, Kansas City, MO and Alisa Booth-Gillman, Houston, TX; brothers, Jack (Shirley) Booth, Granite Bay, CA and Danny (Mary) Booth, Kissee Mills, MO; grandchildren, Reghan and Sterling Gillman and several nieces, nephews and numerous former students.

     Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – Noon Saturday, January 12 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO with a eulogy to follow. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the KC Pet Project and/or KCPD CARE Team (kcpdcareteam.org) in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
