Pattonsburg, MO: Carletta Cathleen (Salmon) Crabtree, 94, Pattonsburg, Mo., passed away the morning of Sunday, April 3, 2022, at her home.

She was born at home in Pattonsburg, Mo. the daughter of Carsley Abraham and Hazel Kathryn (Groomer) Salmon on February 26, 1928.

Carletta was born and raised in the Pattonsburg area and was baptized early in life. She attended rural country schools prior to graduating from Pattonsburg, High School in May of 1946. After graduation, she married her husband, Will Ed Crabtree on June 1, 1946.

Carletta and Will Ed moved their family from Pattonsburg to Bethany, then to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, then Shawnee Mission, Kansas, then to Rolla and when they both retired, they came back to Pattonsburg in 1985 to the family farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 56 years, Will Ed; brother, Ralph Salmon; daughter, Cathy; grandson, Michael T. Holloway; great granddaughter, Sadie Meilin Hensley; son-in-law, Steve Herrell and Jon Copeland and a daughter-in-law, Norma Crabtree.

Carletta is survived by her children, Larry (Jill) Crabtree, Pattonsburg, Carol Herrell, Kansas City, Mo., Darral Crabtree, Albany, Mo., Geneva (Frank) Schneider, Pattonsburg, Mo.; sisters, Grace (Byron) Didlo and Vivian (Jim) Scott; and 64 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, Mo. Burial will follow in Salmon Cemetery, Pattonsburg, Mo. Friends may call any time after Noon on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Salmon Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 152, Pattonsburg, MO 64670.
