Betty Fay Alden, 84, passed away at 1:20 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, MO.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Melbourne Baptist Church in Melbourne, Missouri. Burial to follow at Willis Chapel Cemetery north of Brimson, Missouri. There will be a scheduled visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Open visitation will begin Thursday morning at 9:00 AM at Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. Betty was born on January 23, 1931 to Earl and Sylvia (Hamby) Davidson at their home north of Brimson, Missouri. She graduated from Gilman City High School in 1949. On November 25, 1951, she was united in marriage to Jim Alden at her parentsā home. Together they had three children, Paul, Cynthia, and Debbie.
Betty loved gardening and raising chickens. She will also be remembered for excellent cooking.
Betty is survived by her husband Jim Alden of Gilman City, MO; son, Paul Alden and wife Barbara of Gilman City, MO; daughter, Cynthia Cox and husband Ben of Jameson, MO; sister, Judy Gass and husband Everett of Trenton; her twin brother, Bobby Davidson and wife Betty Jo of St. Charles, MO; and grandsons, Zach and Tyler Cox of Jameson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debbie Alden; and her brother, Jerry Davidson.
