Coffey, MO: Gerald Bennum, 80, Coffey, MO passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at a Gower, MO nursing home.
He was born May 26, 1938 in Coffey, Missouri the son of Clyde Myers and Lucille Love (Bales) Bennum.
On April 26, 1974, he married Darlene Bennum. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2002. Later, he spent many happy years with Josephine Stocking.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; beloved companion, Josephine; son, Jim Griffin; grandson, Trevor Bennum; brother, James Bennum and sister, Mary Belle Gates.
Gerald took pride in his work as a land surveyor.
Survivors include sons, Curtis Bennum (Jeff Jones) and Carl Bennum both of Kansas City, MO and Mike (Rosie) Griffin, Princeton, MO; daughters, Teresa (Ron) Bartram, St. Joseph, MO and Raelene Hays, Princeton, MO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial will follow in the Coffey Cemetery, Coffey, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
