When there’s smoke, it must be fish fry time: Jerry Wagner deep fries filets during the first Lenten fish fry of the year at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Hungry customers were lined up at the door of the fellowship hall at least a half hour before the official start of the fish fry. Members of the church were kept busy through the evening keeping up with the rush. The church will be serving fish at 5 p.m. each Friday night during Lent.
