Honoring our veterans: South Harrison’s annual Veterans Day assembly was packed with people young and old, ready to honor our veterans for their service. The assembly was held on Friday, November 11. Retired educator, Ms. Jane Smith was the featured speaker during the assembly, telling some of the stories of World War II she had collected for her book. There was also a performance by the Buchanan Highlanders Pipes and Drums team, who performed a few songs on their bagpipes and drum sets.
