Harrison County, MO: Billy Osmon, Harrison County bridge superintendent, holds a plaque recognizing him at the time of his retirement after for 36 years’ service as a member of the bridge crew. Billy first joined the bridge department in 1986. “We mainly had a few trucks, shovels and axes,” he said. “It took a few years before we got our first backhoe.” He started work for the bridge department at the same time that his father, Bill Osmon, joined the crew.
